Asian grocery store online in Poland: Indian, Thai, Korean, African and Latin American food delivered

Little India is an Asian grocery store online for all of Poland. Besides Indian food, its website has sections for Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Korea, China, the Philippines, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. You order in English on the website and the shop sends the parcel to any address in Poland. That helps if you live far from a big city, or if the shop near you has a world-food shelf but not the gochujang, fish sauce or gari you cook with.
An Asian grocery store online for many cuisines
In Polish, a shop like this is a sklep orientalny (oriental shop) or a sklep azjatycki (Asian shop). Those are the words on Polish shop signs and maps, and Little India is a sklep azjatycki online that also sells African, Middle Eastern and Latin American food. The range includes curry pastes, fish sauce, gochujang, rice in 10 kg sacks, fresh curry leaves, African flours and Latin American beans.
Finding products when you do not know the Polish name
Many products carry two names: the Polish one and the original, for example "ostra pasta paprykowa gochujang" (gochujang) or "sos rybny fish sauce". If the search finds nothing in Polish, type the English, Korean or Spanish name, or the brand. The fresh vegetables sometimes include Thai ingredients too: lemongrass, green Thai aubergine and red Thai chillies. Check the product page for availability, and remember that orders with fresh produce ship on Tuesdays.
What each section sells, region by region
India and Nepal
The core of the range: basmati and South Indian rice, dals, atta, ready meals, snacks and sweets. The Nepali section has Wai Wai noodles, kwati (a mixed-bean soup mix) and Tokla Nepali tea. For the Indian range in detail, see Indian shop in Poland.
Pakistan and Bangladesh
The Pakistani section has Shan spice mixes for single dishes such as butter chicken, nihari and biryani, plus Ahmed pickles and desserts. The Bangladeshi section is mostly Pran: chanachur, ground spices, drinks and snacks.
Thailand and Vietnam
For Thai and Vietnamese cooking there is Cock Brand green curry paste, fish sauce, rice noodles, Aroy-D coconut milk, sriracha and pad thai paste. Jasmine rice has its own jasmine rice category; see also jasmine vs basmati rice.
Korea, Japan, China and the Philippines
The Korean section has gochujang, kimchi, Shin Ramyun and Buldak noodles. For sushi there are nori sheets, sushi rice and sushi rice seasoning. Soy, oyster and hoisin sauces come from Amoy and Lee Kum Kee. There are also Chinese and Filipino sections, with items such as sinigang soup base.
Africa
The African section has gari (cassava flakes), ground egusi seeds for soups and plantain chips. Fresh cassava must always be cooked: it is toxic raw.
Latin America
The Latin American section has Coexito black and red beans, PAN corn mixes for arepas and corn pancakes, plantain chips, yerba mate and dried aji panca peppers.
Middle East
The Arabic products section has dates, tahini, za'atar, bulgur, halva and rose water.
Spices, cosmetics and incense
Whole and ground spices come in packs up to 1 kg, in ground spices and whole spices; our Indian spices starter kit says where to begin. The cosmetics section has hair oils, shampoos, soaps, kajal and henna from brands such as Himalaya and Dabur, and there is a full range of incense sticks, explained in our guide to Indian incense sticks.
How to order from an Asian food shop online
Ordering works as in any online Asian market: add products to the cart, give your address and choose delivery and payment: bank transfer, online payment or cash on delivery. The cart shows the delivery options and cost before you pay. Orders with fresh vegetables are collected until Monday and shipped on Tuesday. The full process is in our guide to Indian grocery delivery in Poland.
If you would rather walk into an Asian store near you, Little India also has six shops: three in Warsaw and one each in Kraków, Wrocław and Gdańsk. Addresses and opening hours are on the Little India shops page.
