Roasted Rava Sooji RG Foods is pre-roasted semolina made from wheat with a slightly nutty aroma and a loose, fine texture, which shortens cooking time and ensures consistent results in savory and sweet dishes; ideal for classic upma with vegetables and cashews, halwa/semoina sweetened with cardamom and raisins, rava idli and rava dosa, as well as a crispy coating for patties, a thickener for soups and sauces, or a base for laddoo; usage instructions: for upma, briefly sauté spices (mustard, cumin, curry leaves), add vegetables, pour in water/broth, gradually add rava while stirring, cook for 3–5 minutes until the liquid is absorbed; for halwa, roast rava in a bit of ghee, add sugar/milk syrup and cook until a smooth consistency is achieved; roasting during production enhances flavor and reduces stickiness, so it does not require long sautéing at home; vegetarian product, contains gluten (wheat); store in a dry, cool, and shaded place, after opening transfer to an airtight container, away from moisture and strong odors; always check the label for potential cross-allergens and the water-to-rava ratio for the desired consistency.
