Mama Sita's is a Filipino brand specializing in the production of sauces, marinades, spice blends, and other products inspired by traditional Filipino cuisine. Its history is connected with Teresita “Mama Sita” Reyes, known for her passion for cooking and preserving family recipes. The brand belongs to Marigold Manufacturing Corporation and develops a range of products that enable the preparation of distinctive Filipino dishes at home. The assortment includes, among others, barbecue marinades, sauces for meat dishes, blends for sinigang, kare-kare, and other popular dishes. Mama Sita's combines Filipino culinary traditions with the convenience of modern cooking, offering products available both on the domestic market and internationally.

Mama Sita's Barbecue Marinade is an aromatic blend inspired by traditional Filipino barbecue, known as inihaw, which has been an important part of local culinary culture for generations. Filipino grilling is distinguished by a characteristic combination of sweet, salty, and bold flavors, achieved through marinades made from soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and spices. Unlike many European and American barbecue marinades, Filipino recipes often emphasize the natural sweetness of the ingredients, combining it with a deep umami flavor and a subtle spicy note. Mama Sita's marinade follows this tradition, allowing you to prepare dishes typical of Filipino family gatherings, street markets, and popular establishments serving grilled meats. One of the most recognizable uses of the product is preparing pork barbecue, which consists of pieces of pork threaded onto bamboo sticks, marinated, and then grilled over hot coals. This dish is extremely popular in the Philippines, often appearing at family celebrations, local festivals, and social gatherings. The marinade is characterized by a dark color, liquid consistency, and intense aroma, with noticeable notes of soy sauce, garlic, pepper, and sweet spices. Thanks to carefully selected ingredients, it gives the prepared dishes a distinctive sweet and salty taste and helps achieve an appetizing, caramelized surface during grilling. The product works excellently for marinating pork, chicken, beef, and other types of meat, as well as selected seafood and vegetables intended for thermal processing. It can be used when preparing traditional skewers, grilled wings, chicken drumsticks, ribs, and meats roasted in the oven. The marinade is also suitable for dishes prepared on a grill pan or in electric devices, allowing the taste of Filipino barbecue to be recreated regardless of the season. In Filipino cuisine, grilled meats are often served with jasmine rice, vegetable salads, and sauces made from vinegar, chili, and onions. This combination creates a characteristic contrast between the sweet marinade and the sour and spicy accompaniments. Mama Sita's marinade can also be used as an ingredient in sauces for stewed, fried, and baked dishes, especially in meals inspired by Asian fusion cuisine. Its use reduces the need to prepare complex marinades from scratch and facilitates achieving the distinctive flavor profile of Filipino barbecue. The product is a practical kitchen ingredient for those interested in traditional Filipino flavors and looking for new ways to prepare grilled dishes.
