Idli is a soft, pillowy steamed savory cake made from fermented rice and lentil batter. A traditional breakfast of South Indian origin.
Preparation:
1. Prepare 1 liter of water in a pot or pressure cooker. Mix the contents of the package with 320 ml of water and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix until smooth.
2. Lubricate the special Idli mold with oil. Put a portion of dough into each compartment. Put the filled molds in a pot of water. Cook covered for 15 minutes.
Serve hot Idly with Sambhar or coconut chutney.
Ingredients: Rice flour, Lentil flour, Salt, Sodium bicarbonate E500(ii), Citric acid E330 (Raising agents), Fenugreek powder and sodium acetate (E262(i)).
