Green Chana (Hara Chana) is a dried green chickpea that is available all year round. It is greenish in color and has a rough outer layer. Unlike fresh green chickpeas, dry chickpeas need to be soaked before cooking and they take longer to cook. Green chickpeas are tastier than white and black chickpeas, gaining a slightly sweet taste when cooked. It is used in many laws. You can make, for example, sweets or Cheela, add to salads or curries.
