After grinding, the grains are sifted through a fine mesh to separate the flour from the rava — this gives you a product with consistent granulation, ideal for Indian cuisine and everyday cooking. It works well in quick breakfasts and snacks: rava dosa (ultra-crispy pancakes), rava idli (fluffy steamed dumplings), classic rava upma, khichdi, and in sweet versions like rava halwa/kesari or rava laddoo.
