Black Soyabean Nepali Mato is a high-quality black soybean from Nepal, ideal for those who value a healthy lifestyle. Rich in protein, fiber and antioxidants, it supports the immune system, adds energy and takes care of heart health. Black soy is popular in Nepali and Himalayan cuisine. Traditionally used to prepare fermented and unfermented dishes in the eastern Himalayan regions of Nepal, India and Bhutan. Most often used as a Nepalese appetizer or eaten as a salad (salad bhatmas sadeko).

Rinse the soybeans and soak them overnight in water (or at least 8 hours). Pour in fresh water and boil. Cook over low heat for 60-90 minutes or until tender (add more water if needed). Season with butter or oil, salt and any spices, cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency is obtained.
