In just a few minutes, you get a bowl full of umami – perfect for a quick lunch, evening comfort food, or a base for more "ramen-like" toppings. Preparation: boil about 450 ml of water, add the noodles and cook for 3 minutes; add the powder/sauce from the sachets, stir, and serve. For depth of flavor, add a few drops of chili oil (la-yu) or black garlic (mayu); for a milder, creamier texture, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or unsweetened soy milk. Ideal toppings: slices of chashu or roasted pork, ajitsuke tamago (marinated egg), chives, nori, corn, mushrooms, sprouts.
