Daawat Original Basmati Rice is a classic, long-grain basmati with a subtly nutty aroma and fluffy, light texture when cooked; carefully selected grains elongate during cooking and remain separate, making them perfect for biryani, pulao, creamy curries, stir-fry dishes, as well as an elegant side to meats, fish, vegetables, and tofu; it absorbs spices (cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf) and ghee butter wonderfully, enhancing the flavor of sauces without thickening them. Preparation method: rinse until the water runs clear, optionally soak for 20–30 minutes; cook in a ratio of about 1 part rice to 1.5–1.75 parts water, on low heat covered for 12–15 minutes, then let sit for 5–10 minutes and fluff with a fork (in a rice cooker, select the white rice/basmati program). Serve hot or in rice salads with herbs and lemon; great for meal prep—retains fluffiness after reheating. Store in a dry, cool, and dark place, in an airtight container, away from moisture and strong odors, to maintain freshness and aroma.
