Ahmad Tea Green Tea Gunpowder is a high-quality loose leaf green tea, originating from the Zhejiang province in China. Harvested from the youngest and largest leaves, which are tightly rolled into small balls and dried over an oak wood fire, it creates a unique composition with a characteristic, slightly smoky aroma and the sweetness of freshly cut grass. Gunpowder tea owes its name to the appearance of the leaves resembling grains of gunpowder – this form allows for the retention of flavor and aroma, which are released during brewing. Gunpowder Supreme Green is the top-grade variety of this tea – the leaves are darker, shinier, and rolled tighter than in standard versions. The resulting brew has an amber color, a mild yet pronounced taste, and a rich bouquet of aromas. It is known for its digestive support, low caffeine content, and high levels of antioxidants. It works perfectly as both a hot beverage and iced tea with the addition of lemon and mint. The recommended brewing temperature is about 85°C, and the time is 2–3 minutes.
