Punjabi Masala Papad from the Haldirams is a crispy, thin waffle (crackers/flat bread) made from a mixture of lentils, which will easily introduce you to the world of intense and warming flavors of Punjab, a region with a rich culinary culture.

Each papad is carefully prepared from the best ingredients, and its unique taste comes from the addition of black pepper, which gives it that characteristic, spicy taste. It's the perfect snack to eat on its own or topped with chopped red onion, tomatoes, chaat masala and coriander. Papadam are also served as an addition to various dishes or with chutneys, dips and sauces.

Ingredients: Moong Flour, Urad Flour, Moth Dal Flour, Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt, Black Pepper, Edible Vegetable Oil & Asafoetida.

How to prepare:

To fry in a pan/fire: Heat for a few seconds over an open flame or in a frying pan until lightly browned.

For the microwave: Lightly oil both sides, place in the microwave and microwave on full power for about 45 seconds or until done.

For frying in oil: Heat the oil in a deep pot. Fry each papad separately for 2-3 seconds, remove using tongs and place on a paper towel to drain.
